I am delighted to be kicking off my Big Ask interview section by talking to a fabulous comic book artist. I spent the weekend getting into their online vampire graphic novel, and I highly suggest you checking it out! It\u2019s free!<\/p>

Badger: <\/strong>Hi! Who are you?<\/p>

Shannon: <\/strong>Shannon Devine, but my alter ego goes by Daren Haze. Graphic designer by <\/span>\"Aday, comic artist and writer by night. All nonbinary.<\/span><\/p>

Badger:<\/span><\/strong> Wow! Thanks for talking to me! Would you like tea or coffee?<\/span><\/p>

Shannon: <\/span><\/strong>Coffee but tea is nice too!<\/span><\/p>

Badger: <\/span><\/strong>What would you like to talk about?<\/span><\/p>

Shannon: <\/span><\/strong>Hey there! Starting this last fall I started my comic world from scratch; a vampire fantasy romance called 'Beyond the Shady Meadows'. You can meet my over-caring vampire Vinny, my love sick anti-hero Daren, and their magic teacher, an intense cat goddess named Rita. The majority of my characters are queer in some way and some of them have been with me for a couple decades now. It is available for free as a webcomic at this time, but am hoping to print the first issue this fall in time for a local comic convention I vend at. Shannon: <\/span><\/strong>I currently only have two cats, named Cosmo & Luna. My pet toad, Miss Toady, passed last year.<\/span><\/p>

Badger: <\/span><\/strong>Oh, I am sorry to hear that. I\u2019m going to move us on quickly as I don\u2019t do well at being a human\u2026 what\u2019s the strangest thing you\u2019ve ever done?<\/span><\/p>

Shannon: <\/span><\/strong>I'm going to go with making an erotic vampire webcomic!<\/span><\/p>

Badger: <\/span><\/strong>I wrote a vampire book, so that doesn\u2019t strike me as strange at all\u2026 Now we\u2019ve had this lovely chat we must be friends, so where can we find you on the internet??<\/span><\/p>
